Dear Staff,

The Pendergast District is participating in National Voter Registration Day on September 26th. Last year, millions of Americans didn’t vote because they missed a registration deadline or didn’t know how to register.

National Voter Registration Day is a day of action before state deadlines begin in October. Local elections for mayors, judges, school boards, and more are being held in all 50 states across the nation this November.

Only 1-in-5 eligible voters turnout for local elections (including races for mayor, city council, and local ballot initiatives.) These offices and issues affect our daily lives – we need to vote local! Many Americans don’t know that if you recently moved, turned 18, changed your name, or haven’t voted in recent elections, you need to update your voter registration! Our water supplies, roads, and parks are determined at the local level.

This National Voter Registration Day, join us in speaking out for our communities!

The PESD Robotics team started on Saturday and the Pendergast Learning Center. Thanks to Cindy Sue Wiste, Mr. Neumann, Sir Dons and all of the parent volunteers for making this happen for our students. The Carl Hayden High School Robotics Team teaming up with us makes this program even more exciting!

I am here to serve you. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
