Parent Satisfaction Remains High With District, Teachers and Curriculum
 

Pendergast District parents are highly satisfied with the quality of education that their children receive according to the results of the 2007 Parent Satisfaction Survey.  And, parents provided the District with higher scores (by at least 1%) for eight of the 17 questions in the survey compared to the 2006 results.
 
More than 5400 parents participated in the survey which was conducted through the school sites in March-April.  Nearly 92% of parents said their child was receiving a quality education. 

Parents gave their highest scores to their schools’ teachers.  All five questions about teachers received scores between 89% - 95%.  And, parents said they were highly satisfied with their child’s curriculum, with both math and reading climbing to over 90%. 

Here is a sample of the results:

  • Teachers help my child be successful - 95%
  • The classroom is a positive learning environment - 94%
  • I am satisfied with my child’s math program - 90%
  • The administration has a positive attitude when I call - 87%
  • School is safe, healthy, positive environment - 90%
  • School grade of A-B-C - 97%

Parents said that their children would like to see improvement in the quality of the food service/cafeteria program.  But overall, parents increased their satisfaction with Food Service by 2.9%, the highest increase of all questions in the survey. Click here for complete results >>>
