Parent satisfaction with the Pendergast District grew again in 2009 with 93% of parents indicating they were highly satisfied with the quality of education their child is receiving. The satisfaction scores were higher for every question in the 2009 survey compared to 2008.
The annual survey is conducted in March. There were 6600 parent responses to the 2009 survey, a response rate of 60%.
Parents said they were very satisfied with the teachers in the District. There were five questions about teachers in the survey and all received satisfaction scores between 90%-95%. Parents also reported a high degree of satisfaction with the curriculum in their child's school - math, reading, and writing all received marks of 91-92%.
And, for the fifth straight year, parents reported an increased level of satisfaction with food service with a gain of 8% in 2009.
