Based on the 2010-2011 survey results, parents in the Pendergast District continue to be highly satisfied with their schools, teachers and the curriculum. More than 6200 parents participated in the annual Parent Satisfaction Survey. The high survey scores were similar to the results from 2010.
Top scores in the survey again went to teachers. All five questions about teachers received satisfaction scores of 90% or higher - matching the results for 2010-2011. The highest satisfactions scores of 94% went to these statements: teachers help my child be successful; teachers are responsive to my concerns; and the classroom is a positive learning environment.
Overall, parents believe that the Pendergast schools are providing their child with a quality education - 91.5%.
Parents were asked to rate the curriculum their child receives and all three questions (reading, math and writing) scored at 88-90% - down 1-2 points from the previous year.
The written survey is conducted in March.
