Who We Are
The Pendergast Education Foundation is a non-profit, charitable IRS 501(c) (3) foundation formed in 2009 to support the education of students in the West Valley by providing scholarship support to aspiring teachers. The Foundation awarded its first scholarships in August, 2009 to five students enrolled in the iTeach AZ Pendergast program partnership between Arizona State University West and the Pendergast Elementary School District.
The Pendergast Education Foundation supports a unique West Valley partnership with the intent of encouraging young college students to become teachers, attend college in the West Valley, acquire their field experiences in West Valley schools and ultimately be hired by schools serving the West Valley.
West Valley business leaders, educators and community representatives, dedicated to the future educational needs of students, make up the Pendergast Education Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation is supporting, through the award of scholarships, a unique collaboration of Arizona State University (West) and the Pendergast Elementary School District. The ultimate winners are the children of the West Valley.
