In an effort to provide a consistent seven-hour school day at all schools and to meet parent interests for children of the same family to walk home from school together, the Pendergast School District has announced changes in school start times and transportation services for the 2012-2013 school year.
A district committee worked for several months to study school bus routes, special program needs, location of families utilizing bus service, and existing boundary maps and walk zones. According to Superintendent Ron Richards, "The plan for next year will provide all of our schools and all of our students a full seven hour day," Richards said.
