Rio Vista Elementary School is a community where respect, engagement and a passion for learning lead to individuals achieving their highest potential.

ACADEMICS

At Rio Vista Elementary, the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards are taught campus-wide. Our school focuses on high student achievement and teaching the "whole-child" through fine arts, music, physical education and award winning programs.

National Junior Honor Society is comprised of students dedicated to serving the school and community. Students are nominated by the staff and hold a tremendous leadership role based on the National Junior Honor Society Pillars of Success. NJHS sponsors fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for local charities and assists in school wide events.

TECHNOLOGY

Students have access to state of the art technology. Teachers utilize the latest instructional techniques using SMART Boards, laptops and iPads to engage students in 21st Century learning.

CITIZENSHIP

School wide student citizenship and character building programs including Well Managed Schools are featured in each school, as well as, student awards given out for outstanding behavior and positive attitudes.
