I believe it takes rigorous instruction and a vision for the future for a child to be successful. It takes parents, educators and caring adults for a child to find success. At Desert Horizon, we are Treasure Hunters. Every day we are given the honor of looking out in our classrooms and across our campus to find the treasure that lies in each child. We are given the privilege of changing the future. Not only is it an honor and a privilege it is a joy to see our children come in as wide eyed kindergarten students and leave as eighth graders, ready for their next step. No profession has such a huge mission, meets with daily challenges and yet brings enormous gratification as that of education. I am thankful for the chance to guide the future of our nation.
Erin Luft
I am Erin Luft. This is my fourth year with the Pendergast School District. Prior to coming to Pendergast, I spent ten years in Creighton School District as an administrator, a teacher and an instructional assistant. I believe that every child can learn if given the opportunity, guidance, and encouragement. I am committed to providing a learning environment that is safe, supportive and inspiring. I am not only committed to the students' intellectual growth, but their emotional and social development as well.
I strongly believe in the Kids at Hope philosophy that "All children are capable of success, no exceptions." My goal is to assist all students in finding success with the four destination points of life: Home and Family, Education and Career, Community and Service, and Hobbies and Recreation. I will strive to assist all students in becoming the most successful that they can be. |
