Welcome to Desert Horizon Art! We have a very colorful and inspiring environment in which to work. There is room for personal freedom of self-expression and creativity in a structured learning environment based on the State Visual Art Standards, with emphasis on the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Although hands-on experiential projects take up most of the class time, students will also learn about art criticism, art history and art vocabulary. They are given the opportunity to work with a variety of art materials, learn about art concepts, and have various kinds of art experiences. The completed art projects are displayed in the art room, cafeteria and Library. Come by to see! |
