Welcome to Miss Jones’ web page!  This is my seventh year as a teacher here at Desert Horizon.  I spent the first four teaching second grade and now am SO excited to be teaching first for the third year!  However, I’ve been here much longer 7 years, as I was also a student here!  I graduated from the 8th grade here in 1994.  I attended Tolleson Union High School, where many of our students go after they leave here, and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, with emphasis in early childhood.  I am CLIP trained, which is a reading tutoring program for first graders, and we’ll be using many of the CLIP strategies in class this year.  If you have any questions, please contact me at the phone number or email address above.
