Writing

 

Students get a pre-test on Wednesday and their homework the same day.  Homework can be returned before the test.  Spelling tests are given every Tuesday.

Social Studies

How do the people in a community affect a community?

 

Project: Select a culture or a job to present to the class. You may do a role play or a poster.

 

Role Play: Dress up, present, provide examples of culture or job.

 

Poster: make a web showing the various aspects of the job or culture.

 

Job: What do they do?  What education is needed?  How does is affect the community? What tools or skills are used?

 

Culture: Include language, dress, food, music, art, customs, celebrations, traditions, and literature.
