STUDENT SERVICES NURSE Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to school daily, and sip from it frequently. It is extremely important that your child remains hydrated. Communicable diseases seem to increase when school starts because of the large number of people in one place. If you think your child is coming down with something that would be contagious, such as fever, sore throat, rash, vomiting, or diarrhea, it is best to keep them at home for their recovery and the health of other students. Please encourage your child to use good hand washing, not only at home but also in school. It would also be helpful to me to know if your child has a chronic condition, such as epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition. Please remember that if students have daily medication needs, prescriptions or over the counter, parents are responsible for delivering the necessary mdeication(s) to my office. Ther will be no exceptions, and a medical permission form needs to be signed by the parent. Parents should remember to mark with full name and telephone number all jackets, hats, and outer clothing. Many clothes are lost because of no name. 10 REASONS TO KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL
