The Pendergast Elementary School District is leading the way with a variety of new and innovative learning opportunities to choose from. We are very proud to offer the very best educational experience for our students. Our twelve schools offer safe and secure campuses with individualized programs designed to help each student succeed and develop to his or her own potential.
We are looking for outstanding candidates ready to "Empower Excellence and Success" to our over 9000 students on twelve campuses across the district.
The Arizona Tax Credit Program allows each taxpayer to donate up to $200 for a single individual or a head of household per year to public schools and up to $400 if married and filing a joint tax return. That money can go directly to the public school of your choice, reducing your taxes by the amount donated.
The Be Kind People Project provides character education programs to schools in Pendergast. Kinder school environments means a more positive educational experience and better results. The Be Kind People Project promotes healthy social and emotional learning to help students build positive relationships and leadership skills.

Pendergast District Joins Verizon Innovative Learning to Bring Free Tech Education to Local Title I Schools
In partnership with Digital Promise and Verizon Innovative Learning, students and teachers at Amberlea Elmentary, Desert Horizon Elementary, and Villa de Paz Elementary will receive devices, internet access, and innovative programs.
Pendergast District Launches Python Coding Program for Middle School Students at Villa de Paz Elementary
Pendergast Elementary School District is equipping middle school students with the training and tools to reach success in today’s technology based society. With more than 9,713 computing jobs available in the state of Arizona, the Pendergast District is proud to announce a new computer sciences initiative coming soon to the District.
PRIDE Club is Back for the 2021-22 School Year
P.R.I.D.E. Club programming will resume in August 2021. Program capacity at each school is dependent on available space and staffing. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the program at your school site, please submit your information on the waitlist. You will be notified when an opening is available at your school site.
Boundary Change for the Villa de Paz Community
On July 6, 2021, the Pendergast ESD Governing Board approved the following boundary change that incorporates vacant land into the Villa De Paz Elementary School site community. The map (linked below) displays the vacant land area that has been approved for the school site boundaries.
