Request for Arguments
REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS “FOR” OR “AGAINST” THE SPECIAL BOND ELECTION PENDERGAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 92
Pendergast Elementary School District No. 92 of Maricopa County, Arizona (the “District”), will hold a special bond election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The District seeks authorization to issue bonds in the principal amount not to exceed $60,000,000. The estimated average annual cost is $50.42, with an estimated average monthly cost of $4.20 based upon the residential full cash value of $100,000 and an assessed valuation of $10,000.
The Maricopa County School Superintendent will be preparing an informational pamphlet that will be mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the bond question (not to exceed 200 words) may be delivered via email to schoolelections@maricopa.gov or by mail or in person to the following address: Maricopa County School Superintendent, School Elections Office 4041 N. Central Avenue, Suite 1100, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received at the office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025. Such argument must be signed (notarized for individual’s) and should include the name of the school district, the author’s name, address and telephone number. Each argument filed shall contain the sworn statement of the person submitting it. If the argument is submitted by an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization. If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee's chairperson or treasurer. If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. The last day to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in this election is Monday, October 6, 2025.
